Obituary of Reed Leonard
Reed William Leonard, 75, beloved husband of Sharon Lynne (Brancato)Leonard, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 19, 2024, following an extended illness.
Mr. Leonard was born in Milwaukee, WI to the late John Francis Leonard and Ardith Louise Wippenbeck. He held degrees in both Theology and Computer Science and retired as an IT Project Manager. Reed loved country music – playing both the guitar and banjo. He also enjoyed creating gourmet recipes, eating ice cream, line dancing, woodworking and traveling the world. He could find humor in the most mundane of circumstances and would always keep those around him laughing. His cheerful attitude and amazing smile will be missed by all who knew him. Most importantly, he was a perfectly perfect husband and friend to his wife, Sharon for over 31 years.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons; Tyson Leonard, Rob Turfle, and Dave Turfle(Anastasia), two sisters; Jill Potter(Mark),and Gail Leonard, six grandchildren; Justine Himsel(Ben), Jon Leonard, Taylor Turfle, Lily Turfle, Damian Turfle and Maksim Shcherbinin, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Jackie Graetz and Pam Fitzgerald.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
Memorials in Reed’s honor may be made to the Crohns and Colitis Foundation.
