Walter “Tony” Anthony Townsend, 40, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2020.
Mr. Townsend was born in Greenwood, SC to the late Melvin Eugene Townsend, Sr. and Carol Jean Price Townsend.
Tony was an avid Clemson, Atlanta Braves and Panther’s fan. He loved to fish and often referred himself as the “Catfish King”. Tony enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are two brothers, Melvin Townsend, Jr. (Toni), and John Townsend; and a sister, Debra Axson (Charles); three nephews, Ryan Townsend, Dylan Townsend and Michael Axson; and a niece Amy Margano.
The family will have a celebration of Tony’s life at a later date and will post details when available.
