Obituary of Beverly Ann Hammack Childers

Beverly Ann Hammack Childers, 81, widow of Johnny Montgomery Childers Sr., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 8, 2021. Mrs. Childers was born in Evansville, IN to the late Farney Leroy Hammack and Leilah Mae Haynes Hammack. Beverly loved the Lord and was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church. She was an alumna of Bob Jones University and a retired nurse from Greenville Memorial Hospital. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed sewing, quilting, and listening to gospel music. She loved animals and southern cooking. Beverly served as a volunteer for the church library and Meals-on-Wheels. Surviving are three sons, Johnny Childers Jr. and wife Ysabel, Jeff Childers and wife Cheryl, and Jason Childers and wife Amy; a daughter, Kim Childress and husband Mark; thirteen grandchildren, Kristen Childress, Jeremy Childress, Taylor Childress, Josiah Childers, Abigail Velazquez and husband Charvel, Jonah Childers, Ali Quiros and husband Charles, Job Childers, Gabriella Childers, Elijah Childers, Caleb Childers, Nolan Childers, and Aubrie Childers; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Tom Hammack. Graveside services will be 2 o’clock Sunday at Graceland East Memorial Park.
