Obituary of Allen Lee Watson

Allen Lee Watson, 55, husband of Shirley Ann Hamlin Watson for 35 years, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 29, 2021. Mr. Watson was born in Simpsonville to Sandra Lee Leopard Watson and the late Rudolph Watson. He worked for Andy-On- Call. Allen was social bug who enjoyed car shows, riding his Harley-Davidson, hanging out on the swing in the yard, and talking politics with friends. He loved taking care of people. He was a huge USC Gamecock fan and a collector of NASCAR memorabilia. Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, are two sons, Chris Watson, and Brett Watson and wife Nicole; seven grandchildren, Claire Watson, Adalyn Watson, Aubrey Watson, Haley Watson, Alyssa Watson, Rebecca Watson and Emma Watson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tim and Lisa Carr, Richard “Johnny” and Debbie Hamlin, and Dawn McCall; nieces and nephews, Chris McCall, Kellie Riggins, Wayne Collins, Dakota Hamlin, Katherine Hamlin, Jonathan Hamlin and Jessica Hamlin; and an aunt, Patsy Garrett. He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Clarence and Naomi Watson; maternal grandparents, Roy and Mallie Leopard; an uncle, Gene Garrett; an aunt, Joyce Mahaffey; cousins, Tommy Garrett and Charles Mahaffey; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth McCall; cousin, Michael Garrett A Celebration of Allen’s Life will be held at 6 o’clock Monday at Fletcher Funeral Service.
