June Alice Conner Broad, 60, wife of Van Broad for 38 years, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 4, 2021.
Mrs. Broad was born in Charleston to the late Lowell William Conner and Wilma Ellenburg Conner. She worked as an auditor for the U.S. Government and was the recipient of many awards and honors during her 28 years of service. She was an alumnus of Charleston Southern University and a member of Mauldin United Methodist Church. June was the heart and breath of our family, giving selflessly of her life to its success. By Van’s side, June served the Lord in youth ministry for 23 years. She was an Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed watching baseball and softball. She was known for graciously hosting many Thanksgiving and Christmas events.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Matt Broad and wife Cortney; a daughter, Walker Areiza and husband Daniel; and a brother, Eddie Conner.
