Obituary of Jerry Ann Gilliard

Jerry Ann Carroll Gilliard, 78, wife to Darrell Gilliard for 36 Years, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 7, 2021. Mrs. Gilliard was born in York to the late Walter Brown Carroll and Mabel Stewart Carroll. In her earlier years she worked at Woven Electronics. She loved Jesus. Jerry Ann enjoyed singing in the choir, teaching Sunday school and counseling during revivals. Jerry Ann loved family gatherings, cooking and doing crafts. She always put her family first and cherished spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving, in addition to her husband, is son, Brian Sherer and wife Julie; daughter, Cindy Quinn and husband Steve; daughter-in-law, Donna Sherer; seven grandchildren, Jordan Sherer and wife Kaitlin, Brendan Sherer, Jenna Firmstone and husband Tyler, Steven Quinn II and wife Kenzie, Libby Zadoorian and husband Ara, Rebekah Sherer and Stephanie Quinn; two great-grandchildren, James Sherer and Peyton Quinn; and three sisters. She was predeceased by a son, Kevin Sherer; one brother; and four sisters. Funeral services will be held at 5 o’clock Tuesday at Beulah Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Chris Bryan and Rev. Jeremiah Oliver. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Because of family health conditions, the family is respectfully requesting mask to be worn during service times. Thank you in advance for understanding.
