Edward Charles “Eddie” Hamet, 69, husband of Susan Brooks Hamet, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 26, 2021.
Mr. Hamet was born in Greenville to the late Wesley Charles Hamet and Dorothy Surrett Moffett.
He retired from UPS and founded Priority Delivery Service, Inc. Eddie had a big heart and was a hard worker. He enjoyed hot-rod cars, HOPE radio and Fox News.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Tonya Hamet (Arne); three step-daughters, Erin Spieth (Matt), Stephanie Lee (Billy), and Kelley Suddeth (Ryan); a brother, Jerry Hamet (Rosa); three sisters, Brenda Howes, Judy Tigue (John), and Cheryl Hamet; five grandchildren, Ava Hamet, Heather Long (Ian), Megan Carpenter, Stone Stefanacci, and Renner Suddeth; a great-grandson, Callen Long; and his beloved rescue dog Blue-Boy. He was predeceased by a brother, Travis Hamet.
A Celebration of Eddie’s Life will be private.
