Obituary of Walter Matosky

Walter Matosky, 95, of Woodruff, SC, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021. Born in Chicopee, MA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Jenny Matosky and the loving husband of the late Betty Matosky. Walter was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army and later retired from General Electric. He was a member of Bellview Baptist Church, where he served faithfully. Surviving are his daughter, Susan Dickerson (Gary) of Woodruff; two grandchildren, David Dickerson and Jason Dickerson (Dawn); two great-grandchildren, Cheyenne and Caleb and their mother Kim Dickerson. He was predeceased by two brothers, Pat Matosky and Richard Matosky; and a sister, Dorothy Konicki. A Celebration Of Life will be 11 o’clock Wednesday at Bellview Baptist Church. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children’s Fund, Bellview Baptist Church, 901 Bellview Road, Woodruff, SC 29388.
