Obituary of Gail Henson Vest

Donna “Gail” Henson Vest, 78, widow of Benny Robert Vest I, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September, 30, 2021. Mrs. Vest was born in Greenville to the late Claude “Claudell” Lee Henson and Hattie Leopard Henson. She enjoyed arts and crafts, painting, and wood working. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving is a son, Benny “Robbie” Robert Vest II; daughter, Rebecca Rae Brookshire; former daughter in-law, Kammey Vest; brother, Don Henson and wife Rhonda; three sisters, Diana Eller and husband David, Patti Johnson and husband Joe, and Kathy Lane and husband Lynn; four grandchildren, Cody Vest, Kamrey Vest, Kensie Brookshire, and Kendal Brookshire; five great-grandchildren, Bella Wood, Brayleigh Vest, Kashton Harris, Bentley Wood, and Brandon “Biscuit” Harris. She was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Savannah Wood. Graveside services will be 2 o’clock Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Mountain View Memorial Park, 7 Duncan Road Travelers Rest, SC.
