Obituary of Doris Condrey Greene

Doris Jean Condrey Greene, 88, wife of Perry Ramsey Greene for 70 years, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 24, 2021. Mrs. Greene was born in Cliffside, NC to the late Hillyard William Condrey and Amanda Corene Barnett. She was a member of Hillside Baptist Church were she faithfully served as a Sunday school director. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, David Greene with wife, Fredda and Chris Greene; a daughter, Roberta “Robbie” Laney with husband Mitchell; one brother, Steve Condrey; and a sister, Peggy Dill; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Laney with wife Cassie, Ashley Laney, Kelli Freeman, Kendel Duckworth and husband Kevin, and Katelyn Greene; nine great-grandchildren, Noah Laney, Alyssa Laney, Kameron Duckworth, Kaleb Duckworth, Kody Duckworth, Gabriel Freeman, Michael Freeman, Laurel Freeman, and Kaden Greene. She was predeceased by a son, Richard “Dickie” Greene; and a brother, Joe Condrey. A Celebration of Doris’ Life will be 11 o’clock Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Eddie Howard. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Burial will follow at Hillside Baptist Church.
