Obituary of Kathy Lee Rowell Holbert

Kathy Lynn Rowell Holbert, 65, widow of Claude Odell Holbert, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 2, 2022. Mrs. Holbert was born in Tallapoosa, GA to the late John Franklin Rowell and Millie Ruth Gordon Rowell. She retired from CMS Industries (Clinton Mills) and later became a certified Phlebotomist. Kathy enjoyed coloring, computer games, planting strawberries, and arranging photo albums. She was a collector of porcelain dolls and Indian collectibles. Her favorite vacation get-away was Cherokee, and she absolutely cherished being “Nannie” to her grandchildren. Surviving are three daughters, Krystal Roberts and husband Tinker, Brandy Deyton, and Cathy Holbert; six sisters, Deborah Ramirez and husband Cruz, Freda Gibbs and husband Jimmy, Sandy Smith, Brenda Wilson, Linda Crowe, and Angela Morales and husband Misael; eight grandchildren, Travis Jamieson, Kristen Owens and husband Tyler, Dillon Deyton, Cheyenne Deyton and fiancé A.J., Jamie Turner, Jason Neaderhiser, Justin Bodie and Jordan Bodie; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and a faithful companion, Carl Cody. She was predeceased by a daughter, Ann Bodie; a sister, Tink Martin; and a grandson, Hunter Deyton. The family will receive friends between 5 – 7 o’clock Wednesday at Fletcher Funeral Service – Woodruff. A graveside service will be held at 1 o’clock Saturday at Bethany Presbyterian Church cemetery in Clinton.
