Obituary of Harold Loyd Hinton

Harold Loyd Hinton, 75, husband of Vicky Carolyn Hinton for 29 years, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 7, 2022. Mr. Hinton was born in Simpsonville to the late William Hinton and Edna Parrish Hinton. Loyd was a member of Infinity Church and a veteran of the US Army. He retired from Greenwood Construction at the Mitsubishi Plant in Greer after more than 30 years of service. Loyd faithfully read his bible every day, and loved helping people fix things. He could make just about anything. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Dwayne Hinton with wife Gina; three stepsons, Scott Temple with wife Ashley, and Billy Temple wife Louise and Stephen Abercrombie with wife Crystal; step daughter, Connie Saxon with husband Tony; a brother Jeff Hinton; two sisters, Judy Mc Ilwain with husband Sonny and Joretta Carlton; six grandchildren, Ben Temple with wife Moriah, TSG Jeffrey Temple, USAF, Chris Temple with wife Tabitha, Olivia Rose with husband Shane, Derrick Hinton, and Heather Harrison with husband Michael; and ten great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers, Dinger Hinton, Steve Hinton, and Phillip Hinton; and his beloved Chihuahua “Bonnie”. The family will receive friends from 4:30-5pm Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Service and again immediately following the funeral. A Celebration of Loyd’s Life will begin at 5 o’clock Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Service officiated by Rev. Bill Bales.
