Obituary of Norman Eugene McRoberts

Norman Eugene McRoberts, 90, husband of Alice Ann Brewer McRoberts for 69 years, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 2, 2022. Mr. McRoberts was born in Evansville, IN to the late Eldon Albertus McRoberts and Gladys Minerva Hornsby McRoberts. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church. He was an alumnus of Nazarene College and retired as the co-owner of McRoberts Insurance Agency. Norman loved to fly and held a private pilot license. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and being “Grandpa” to his grandchildren. Norman was passionate about his devotion to his Lord and the study of scripture. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons and their wives, Steve and Karen McRoberts, and David and Susan McRoberts; two daughters and their husbands, Jan and Dan Johnson, and Vicki and Greg Odom; two brothers and their wives, Stanley and Dee McRoberts, and Dale and Ruby McRobets; a sister and her husband, Martha and Nick Nichols; nine grandchildren, Bruce McRoberts, Brent McRoberts, MAJ Scott Odom (USMC) and wife Angie, Brittany Barton and husband Robert, Andrew McRoberts, Diana Barrett and husband Andrew, Ryan McRoberts and wife Emily, Brad Johnson and Matt Johnson; and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a a brother, Chuck McRoberts. A Celebration of Norman’s Life will be 11 o’clock Friday at Temple Baptist Church. Burial will be 3 o’clock Monday at Danville South Cemetery in Danville, IN.
