Obituary of Karen Ann Whitfield Taylor

Karen Ann Whitfield Taylor, 58, wife of Joel Taylor, Sr, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, January 19, 2022. Mrs. Taylor was born in Anderson to Jeanette Fant Whitfield and the late William Meritt Whitfield. When able, she attended Holiday Church in Ware Shoals. She enjoyed sewing and knitting, fishing, Christmas and riding motorcycles with her husband. Karen cherished her grandchildren and loved her dogs. Surviving, in addition to her husband and mother, are two sons, Michael Barnette (Katie) and Joel Taylor, Jr (Danielle Norris); a daughter, Kimberly Samples; four grandchildren, Evelyn Grace Taylor, Charlotte Ann Taylor, Zachary Samples and Elizabeth Samples; six step-grandchildren, Derick Barnette, Nathan Barnette, Michael Barnett Jr, April Landers, Emma Landers and Destiny Kinley and two brothers, Melvin Whitfield (Wendy) and Bobby Whitfield (Joyce). She was predeceased by two grandchildren, Tiffany Samples and William Samples. A Celebration of Karen’s Life will be 11am Friday at Fletcher Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
