Obituary of Norma Wood Blevins

Norma Ruth Wood Blevins, 92, widow of Archie Dean Blevins, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 27, 2022. Mrs. Blevins was born in Grassy Creek, VA to the late Walter Avery Wood and Ruby Virginia Spencer Wood. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Norma loved to cook and be grandmother and great-grandmother. In the words of her children, she was the “Perfect Mother”. Surviving, are two sons, Greg Blevins (Karen) and Jeff Blevins (Rhonda); a daughter, Jennifer Blevins; three grandchildren, Ashley, Haley and Hunter Blevins; two great-grandchildren, Jake Blevins and Nathan Davis and a sister, Sandra Bowers. She was predeceased by five brothers and two sisters. Funeral Services will be 2:30pm Sunday at Faith Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Greg Ince. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
