Obituary of Barbara Ruth Gilliland

Barbara Ruth Gilliland, 44, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 26, 2022. Ms. Gilliland was born in Spartanburg to Frances Susan Wright Smith and the late David Lewis Gilliland. She was a member of Renfrew Baptist Church and a former Girl Scout. Barbara enjoyed going to the beach and Gatlinburg. She also enjoyed cookouts with family and friends. Surviving, in addition to her mother, is her daughter, Kaitlyn Kelly; and special friend, John Wright. She was predeceased by a brother, Frank Smith; and a sister, Angie Gilliland. A Celebration of Life will be 2 o’clock Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Service-Woodruff officiated by Rev. Jack Millwood. Family will receive friends an hour prior.
