Obituary of James Patrick Turner

James Patrick Turner, Sr., 77, husband of the late Theresa Ann Harvey Turner, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 24, 2022. Mr. Turner was born in Greenville to the late James William Turner and Ruth Louise Jones Turner. He retired from Dow Brands/Texize and was a member of Bold Springs Baptist Church. Pat loved the outdoors, camping, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed piddling on small projects and was a collector of fishing lures. His greatest joy came in being PawPaw to his grandchildren. Surviving are a son, James Patrick Turner, Jr.; a daughter, Angie Garrett with husband John; four grandchildren, Josh Garrett with wife Abbey, Brandie Meetze with husband Mitchell, Jody Garrett, and Jennifer Fowler with husband Drew; and three great-grandchildren, Jordyn Garrett, Jackson Garrett, and Tucker Garrett. He was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Billie Turner; three brothers, Jerry Turner, Ronnie Turner and Bill Turner; and a sister, Barbara Turner. A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be 2 o’clock Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Condy Richardson. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
