Obituary of Jason Matthew May

Please share a memory of Jason to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jason Matthew May, 46, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Sunday, March 20, 2022. Jason was born November 3, 1975 in Simpsonville, SC. Jason was an industrial mechanic at CF Sauer. He enjoyed his job and loved his work family. If something was broken and was in need of repair, Jason was up for the challenge and hoped it involved welding and “laying a good bead”. He took pride in his craftmanship and loved to help and mentor others. Jason’s free spirit and smile was contagious. He never met a stranger and was the life of the party. He had a special gift for music. This was an expression of his emotions and showed his individuality. Whether it was attending concerts, playing his guitar, or just listening to music in general he had a true passion and appreciation that was very diverse. He was an avid lover of the outdoors and spent time riding motorcycles, going to the beach, lake and mountains. He enjoyed the serene beauty of nature. Jason was a diehard Tennessee Volunteer. College football was a true passion of his, and on “Game Day” you would always hear him saying “Go Vols”! Surviving is his mother, Debbie Burnett (Dean); dad, Dale E. May; two sons, Trevor May and Eli May; maternal grandfather, Dean “Dizzy” Nave; brother, Tim May (Donna); nephew, James May; soulmate, Cindy Hughes and her daughter, Jordyn Hughes; and many beloved friends and co-workers. He was predeceased by his father, Edward L. Young; maternal grandmother, Jackie C. Nave; and maternal uncle, Dean D. Nave.
