Obituary of James Broadus Harvey

James Broadus (Bug) Harvey, 82, son of the late Broadus Gonzalee and Luree Black Harvey, departed this world for his Heavenly Home, Friday, July 1, 2022. A resident of Gray Court SC, he was born and raised in the Old Hundred Community of southern Greenville County. James was married to Ann Galloway Harvey for over 56 years. He was a loyal employee of the Duncan Plant of JP Stevens Co for 44 years. James was a member of Beulah Baptist Church, Fountain Inn. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are 3 sons, James Earl Harvey (Pam) of Greenville, Raymond Eddy Sargent (Karen) of Gray Court and Stanley Lee Sargent of Taylors; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and his sister-in-law, Theresa Howard Harvey. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Larry Thomas Harvey Sr. Funeral Services will be 6pm Sunday, in the chapel of Fletcher Funeral Service, Fountain Inn, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church Building Fund, 1762 Greenpond Road, Fountain Inn, SC 29644.
