Obituary of Geraldine Ann Roth Tate

Geraldine “Gerri” Roth Tate, 89, wife of 70 years to Erwin Arthur Tate, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. Mrs. Tate was born in Olean, NY to the late John H. Roth and Alice G. Keller Roth. She was a 1950 graduate of Academy High School in Erie, PA. Gerri was dedicated to her family and church serving as an Army wife, Den mother, and Sunday School teacher. She was an active member of her church most recently in Raleigh, NC where she was a member of UMC, Adult Fellowship and conference delegate of Benson Memorial United Methodist Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three sons, Edwin Tate with wife Tammy, David Tate with wife Katie, and Douglas Tate; three brothers, J. William Roth, James Roth with wife June and Kenneth Roth with Connie Dewart; a granddaughter, Amanda R. Tate; and three step grandchildren, David Justin Allbritton, Kelly McGivern and Alexandra Alan. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Tate will be held on July 28, 2022 at 11am in the Village Center at Rolling Green Village.
