Obituary of Sharon Zerby Bouchillon

Sharon Denise Zerby Bouchillon, 61, wife of Ricky Dale Bouchillon for 12 years, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 1, 2022. Mrs. Bouchillon was born in Clinton, SC to the late Beauford Charles Bolt and Betty Ann Hellams Bolt. She worked many years as a dispatcher with the Laurens County Sheriffs Department before retiring from the same duties with the Simpsonville City Police Department. Sharon was a huge supporter of local police and fire departments. She had a servant’s heart and proudly served her community as a loyal citizen. Sharon was an avid Clemson football fan and enjoyed tailgating with her husband and family. Her animals – Sophie, Abby and Macy – were dear to her heart. Sharon cherished being Nana to her grandchildren and loved family trips to Gatlinburg, TN. She also enjoyed visiting the beach with friends. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three daughters, Tonya Penland with husband Ryan, Ashley Mease of Virginia and a daughter residing in Boiling Springs; two brothers, Michael Bolt and Larry Bolt; three sisters, Freda Shealy with husband Anthony, Tracy Carr, and Libby Hughes; and two grandchildren Kameron Cogsdill and Konnor Cogsdill; and a mother-in-law, Mary Cox. She was predeceased by a brother, Ricky Bolt. A Celebration of Sharon’s Life will be 2 o’clock Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Will Lorne's. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
