Obituary of Julius T. Ellenburg

Julius “Buddy” Thornton Ellenburg, 83, husband to Faye Hipps Ellenburg for 61 years, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 13, 2022,
Mr. Ellenburg was born in Pendleton to the late John Ellenburg and Effie Hubbard Ellenburg. He was a retired US Army Veteran and also retired from Michelin North America. Buddy was a man of faith often speaking of God’s love. He enjoyed working in his yard and helping others with theirs as well. Buddy loved spending time with his family and being “Papa to his grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Anita Watson (Brent) and Lisa Bakley (David); Sean Crocker of the home; two brothers, John Ellenburg Cecil Hubbard; three sisters, Pat Boggs, Grace Moon, and Kathy Smith; seven grandchildren, David Bakley, Jr, Jennifer Chambers, Michael Bakley, Amber Evans, Ashley Bailey, Emily Hickman, Bryce Watson and Braydon Bakley; nine great-grandchildren, Kensley Bakley, Kaitlyn Bakley, Hayden Evans, Mickey Bakley, Dalton Ownby, Vinceanna Bailey, Tristan Vickery, Santiago Bailey, and Mila Fuller. He was predeceased by two brothers, Harold Burns and Gene Burns; and his twin sister, Jewel Merck.
A Celebration of Buddy's Life will be Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 1pm at Fletcher Funeral Service. A Visitation will be held one hour prior. Burial will follow at Cannon Byrd Memorial Park.
