Carol Evenella Alexander James, 80, widow of Billy Ray James, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 5, 2022.
Mrs. James was born in Greenwood to the late Ralph E. Alexander and Olivia Dorsey Alexander. She retired from Woven Electronics and was a member of the Piedmont Moose Lodge. Carol enjoyed puzzle books, gardening, traveling and watching her favorite TV programs – Golden Girls, Family Feud and Days of Our Lives. She was a collector of thimbles, bells, and redbird figurines. One of her greatest joys was being Gi-Gi to her grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons, Doug Davis with wife Maria, and Brian Ray; two daughters, Sherry Failor with husband George, and Lisa Davis; a sister, Joann Moser; three grandchildren, Krystal Christian with husband Josh, Kayla Failor, and Angelia Davis; and nine great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Rylan, Camden, Nolan, Sullivan, Elaina, Kylee, Sawyer and Colton. She was predeceased by two sisters, Linda Brooks and Judy Alexander.
Graveside services were held at 3 o’clock Friday, December 9, 2022 at Greenville Memorial Gardens, with Krystal Christian officiating.
