Obituary of Richard Putnam, Jr.

Richard Arlen “Ricky” Putnam, Jr., 65, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 27, 2023. Mr. Putnam was born in Monarch, SC to the late Richard Arlen Putnam, Sr. and Sadie Lucille “Lucy” Morris Putnam. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, shooting guns, and classic cars. Ricky loved the mountains, listening to music, and fishing. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was widely known for his ability to repair CB radios. Surviving are a son, Alan Putnam; a daughter, April Perry; a brother, Michael Putnam; a sister, Beth “Sissy” Sprouse; five grandchildren, Devin Perry, Dalton O’Shields, Danica O’Shields, Emmalynn Cooper, and Mason Putnam; and a great-granddaughter, Pasleigh Kernells. He was predeceased by a sister, Susan Justice. Services will be announced at a later time.
