Obituary of Patricia Davis

Patricia Ann Hartgrave Davis, 85, wife of Austell Anderson “Junior” Davis for 38 years, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 5, 2023. Mrs. Davis was born in Pontiac, MI to the late Ralph and Mae Hartgrave. She was a member of Hillside Baptist Church and an active participant in many church activities. Pat enjoyed shopping, bowling, and vacationing out west. She was a collector of hummingbird figurines. She and Junior placed and monitored several hummingbird feeders throughout their property. Pat was affectionately known as “mama Pat” by family and friends alike. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Mike Brooks with wife Rhonda, and Mark Davis; three daughters, Susan Harrison with husband Dan, Karen Griffith with husband Mark, and Lorri Davis; fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; and cherished neighbors Ryan and Elizabeth Lauper and Shannon West. She was predeceased by eleven brothers and sisters. A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be 6 o’clock Thursday at Hillside Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Sean Sellars. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
