I was sorry to hear about Mike - I worked with Mike at Benore for 2 years. He was always a happy, amiable type of guy. Always interested in hearing what was going on with you and interested in telling you about himself. He will be sorely missed on the planet.

I remember when asking for his daughter Starla's hand in marriage we had a sit down on the porch, and it became something similar to a barter. He gave me his Blessing as long as I would do three things take care of his grandchildren Brayden and Ronan as if they were my own, and to love cherish and take care of his beautiful daughter Starla. And to work on his truck and his mustangs anytime they were needed to be worked on. I we all are going to miss you and we love you so very much thank you for your blessings and thank you for watching over us we will meet again.

This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through. I have our 4 children that Mike and I have raised to be the greatest kids Mike knew he could count on them to take care of me!!!

Michael was such a good guy and a good friend. He always made little bird noises somehow and when I first heard it, I thought for sure a little birdie had somehow gotten into the sanctuary before services started. One Sunday I saw that it was actually Michael making that sweet sound and after worship service was over, and he made his way out behind the last pew where I was sitting next to Joe Mohrmann, Michael gave my ponytail a little tug. Well, I had to turn around quickly and say "hey I know that was you Michael and I grabbed his hand and gave it a little squeeze. He always had a smile for everyone. I only wish I had seen him more often. He told me that when he wasn't at church Sunday morning he was helping out at the soup kitchen near where he lived. He did a lot of good things for the needy. I was very sad to hear about that tragic accident. I sure will miss him and send my deepest sympathies to Beverly and his children. He loved his family very much.

My husband introduced us at Friends Café one Saturday morning, We kept hearing a bird in the room and were looking everywhere for it. My husband seen Mike in the back of the room and said "there's my buddy". Our granddaughter calls him the bird man, they would also see him at Bo Jangles from time to time. This family will surely miss him very much! Our prayers and feelings of peace and healing are sent your family's way. May God Bless
