Wanda and Nancy, Just saw this. Can't believe he is gone. Remember him from my days of teaching Sunday School class at Temple Baptist. He was such a sweet little guy. I will always remember the kindness he showed my mom, by cutting her grass when he cut his mom and sister’s grass. He never complained, and I never saw him angry. Our loss was Heaven’s gain.

Doug was a quiet but funny guy but once you got him started he was on fire. He was knowledgeable and helpful, showed me the way around when I first started at The City of Mauldin. I'm going to miss morning phone calls with Jennifer while ignoring everything around him, but occasionally chimes in with something off topic. I'm going to miss him complaining about things that can't change his constant hate of riding on the back of the trash truck. I'm just going to miss him all around from his morning naps to his nasty dip cups . Love ya buddy...

Jennifer I am so very sorry for your loss, I wish I could've meet Doug. We were close when we were young. I am praying for you and your family at this difficult time. May God wrap his arms around you and bring you through this. I have never lost a spouse but I did lose mama and daddy and that for me was the hardest thing I have ever went through and I am still trying to make sense of it. I love you and I am here for you.
