Mrs. Marilynn was a best friend of my Mother's over many years. They were "phone buddies" and talked almost every day. I became friends with her also and when I would visit Momma from Texas, we would always find time to see Mrs. Marilynn. Through the years, we would send cards and call each other. I will remember her as a beautiful, Christian lady with a lovely singing voice! She will be missed tremendously!

A beautiful southern soul, that is how I remember my Aunt Marilynn. Always took the opportunity to smile and enjoy a laugh. She loved to sing and even performed for the troops in the Melody Maids singing group. Loved her family dearly and got much joy in making and giving special keepsakes and baking yummy food for friends and family. She will be greatly missed. Enjoy your angel wings, Aunt Marilynn. Much love!

I can’t hardly say Marilyn without saying Marvin too. That’s because they were always together and loved each other. They loved Standing Springs Baptist Church and were dedicated to teaching God’s word. We will definitely miss her as we have Marvin all these years.
