Obituary of Scott Gibbs

William Scott Gibbs, 62, husband of Lisa Kimberly Roach Gibbs for 32 years, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 26, 2023.

Mr. Gibbs was born in Charleston, WV to the late William Lockhart Gibbs and Janet Elaine Ferrell Gibbs.  He was a veteran of the US Army.  Scott enjoyed reading, cooking, and shooting guns.  He coached Little League Football and was a collector of knives.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Nathan Day with wife Regina; a daughter, Candice Bishop with husband Chris; three brothers, Greg Gibbs with wife Loretta, Barry Gibbs with wife Tracy, and Jason Gibbs; a sister, Jen Patterson; and four grandchildren, Dante Mills, T.J. Dyer, Krislynn Bishop, and Aubrey Bishop.

A Celebration of Scott’s Life, with Military Honors, will be 4 o’clock Saturday at NewLife Community Church (304 S. Main Street in Fountain Inn).
