Obituary of Helen Stewart

Helen Omega Davenport Stewart, 97, widow of Cecil Alexander Stewart, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, December 5, 2023.

Mrs. Stewart was born in Anderson to the late William Plumer Davenport and Maude Zillie Smith Davenport.  She enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting and reading her Bible.

Surviving, are a son, Alan Stewart (Debbie); two daughters, Robbie Vaughn (Melvin) and Karen Lowe; six grandchildren, Chris Stewart (Kathy), Josh Stewart, Amanda Stewart, Brad Vaughn, Leigh Miller (Greg) and Scott Lowe and nine great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by two brothers and four sisters.

The family will receive friends from 4-6:30pm Friday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Funeral Services will immediately follow. A private burial alongside her husband, will be at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
