Obituary of Ronnie Willis

Russell Ronnie Willis, 78, of Sprouse Farms in Simpsonville, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 13, 2023.

Mr. Willis was born in Gray Court, South Carolina to the late Robert Clyde Willis, Jr. and Emma Pauline Cox Willis.  He was a member of Dials Church and loved listening to country music, dancing, and playing with cats.  Ronnie participated in the Special Olympics annually.

Surviving, are a sister-in-law, Jackie Willis; an aunt, Louise Patterson; two nieces, Tonya Yount (Jimmy) and Christie Brown (Mario); two great-nephews, Craig Yount (Mary) and Austin Willis and two great-great-nieces, Aleah Yount and Kaidence Weathers. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Russell and Mamie Cox; paternal grandparents, Robert Clyde Willis Sr and Mary Willis and two brothers, Robert Danny Willis and Ted Cox Willis.

Funeral Services will be 4pm Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Service.  Burial will follow at Dials Church Cemetery.

The family would like to say “Thank You” to Thrive Upstate for the care and opportunities they provided him and a special “Thank You” to Shay.

The family will be at their respective homes.
