Obituary of Carol Williamson

Martha Carol Jenkins Williamson, 77, wife of William Jefferson “Bill” Williamson for 47 years, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 16, 2023.

Mrs. Williamson was born in Greenville to the late James Weaver “J.W.” Jenkins and Ethel Elizabeth Rodgers Jenkins.  She was the founder and owner of Touches Jewelry.  Carol was lovingly known as the alpha-female and the life of the party.  She was very social and charismatic.  She loved her dogs, enjoyed a good joke, and was very artistic.  Carol’s daughter Julie was the apple of her eye, and the two lived life to the fullest together.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Julie Bridges; a sister, Shirley Comer with husband Claude; two grandsons, Ben Bridges and Jacob Bridges; and a great-granddaughter, Poppy Bridges.  She was predeceased by two brothers, Johnny Jenkins and Billy Jenkins; and two sisters, Louise Ballew and Joanne Gosnell.

A Celebration of Carol’s Life will be 4 o’clock Wednesday at Fletcher Funeral Service.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
