A lot of people wouldn’t guess it but Tom and I were best friends. We met at Ashley Furniture store and I trained him. At the time I was 25 years old and his manager. That didn’t bother him at all. He was willing to learn from anyone, regardless of age. He was the best team player. He quickly became a very close friend of mine. I went to him for everything and i was always so impressed with the stories of life he shared. He loved his family and wife very much. My favorite movie is Gone With The Wind. I found out that was also his wife’s favorite movie. We would quote the movie at least once a week to each other! I would cry to him if I was overwhelmed at work, he would quickly make me laugh. If I made a huge sale he would celebrate with me as if he made a huge sale as well! He was one of the very first people I told I was pregnant and he was beyond excited for me. I’ve never met such a loving, kind, and supportive man in my life. I will miss you so much Thomas! I will cherish our time we shared together and the friendship we had. Wherever you are I know you are looking down at family and friends with a huge smile holding the hand of the love of your life Sue Ellen.
