Obituary of Marilyn Doornbos

Marilyn Francis Bullen Doornbos, 94, wife of Arthur James Doornbos for 65 years, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 6, 2024.

Mrs. Doornbos was born in Detroit, MI to the late Roland Francis Bullen and Louise Amelia Bullen. Marilyn was a member of Seventh-Day Adventist church in Laurens, SC. She enjoyed reading, baking, and spending time with her family.

Surviving, in addition to her husband Arthur, are two sons, Mark Doornbos of Wisconsin and Todd Doornbos with wife Denise of Spartanburg; a daughter, Lydia Lee of Chesnee; son in-law, Dewayne Lee; a brother, Tom Bullen; a sister, Patricia “Pat” Slagter; daughter in-law, LaJuana Marullo; twelve grandchildren, Jesse Doornbos, Melissa Goins with husband William, Brittany Doornbos with husband Kyle, Lindsey Doornbos, James Lee, Timothy Lee, Tomas Lee, Cameron Lee, Samantha Lee, Emma Lee, Kalyn Monday, Sydney Monday; three great-grandchildren, Jayden Doornbos, Hayden Doornbos, Alana Goins. She was predeceased by two sisters, Joanna Kooiman and Phylis Gerg.

No services are planned at this time. The family will be spending time at the home.
