Obituary of Liston Johnson

Liston B Johnson passed away February 6, 2024 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice House. He was born in April 1937 to the late David Lewis and Gertrude Haddock Johnson in Hemingway, SC.

He met Mary Lou in 1957 and they were married for 55 years before her passing in November 2013. He still missed her at his death.

He worked for a number of years as a sales representative in the utility division for Tindall Concrete Products in Spartanburg. He retired in 2003 from HydroStop Inc of Chicago, Illinois as Sales Manager for the Southeastern United States.

He is survived by daughters Elizabeth (Rick) Tipton and Debra J Fortner; granddaughters Mindy (Jack) Rollins and Cassie (Anthony) Willard and 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his three sisters Gertrude Chewning, Louise Rast and Carolyn McAlister

Graveside services will be 2pm Saturday February 10, 2024 at First Presbyterian Church Cemetery and they will receive friends afterward.
