Obituary of Wes Taylor

Please share a memory of Wes to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Robert Wesley “Wes” Taylor, Jr., 60, husband of Melissa Anne Rogers Taylor for 34 years, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 18, 2024.

Mr. Taylor was born in Greenville to Beverly Jane Cannon Taylor and the late Robert Wesley Taylor, Sr.  Wes was an avid deerhunter, member of Red Hill Hunt Club for over 15 years. Wes loved hunting, fishing, boating, ATV riding, and sports of all kinds.  He especially loved cheering on both of his daughters as they played sports most of their lives.  Wes cherished his family, he always made sure they had everything.  Wes & Melissa had a very special love that most couples only dream about. Wes was so very proud of both of his daughters and all their accomplishments.  He thought the grand kids were the greatest blessings ever.

Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, are two daughters, Dani Rawcliffe with husband Jerry, and Sydney Taylor; a sister, Kathy Dudley with husband Burt; and two grandchildren, Jackson and Maddie.  He was predeceased by a brother, Lee Taylor.

A Celebration of Wes’ Life will be 3 o’clock Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Dennis Richey.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.  To honor Wes, the family ask that guests dress casually, i.e. jeans and t-shirts and any deerhunters please wear camouflage in his honor.

We ask Memorials to be made to Magnolia Fawn Rescue 1066 Hayes Drive Gray Court, SC 29645 her website www.magnoliafawnrescue.com - this organization is very dear to Wes.  He called them a few years ago to help save a small fawn, Ms. Connie successfully rescued, raised and released the fawn.  She is amazing in what she does - please look at her site and help her out if you can in Wes' honor.
