Obituary of Jennifer McDermott

Jennifer Alvira Lawernce McDermott, 58, wife of John George McDermott for 7 years, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 2, 2024.

Mrs. McDermott was born in Kingston, Jamaica to the late Eurelda Francis Lawrence and Herbert Lawrence. She was raised by her late grandmother, Estella Burke Francis. Jennifer was a caretaker by nature and loved being “Nana” to her grandchildren. She enjoyed selling arts and crafts and loved to cook.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, is a son, Reanord (Raven) Jones; a daughter, Janelle Jones; Stepchildren Kejaun and Jamarlia McDermott; and five grandchildren, Ke’Maria White, Ryan Jones, Skylar McMahan, Jordan Jones, and Malayah Young; four brothers, Albert , Derrick, Delroy, Carlinton Lawrence; two sisters, Winnifred Thompson and Shauna Lawrence.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Ketranna Jones, and a sister, Evadney Lawrence.
