Obituary of Ann Alverson

Fadonia Ann Scott Alverson, 83, wife of James Irving Alverson for 64 years, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.

Mrs. Alverson was born in Belton to the late Aaron Colie Scott and Elizabeth Fadonia Gambrell Scott.  She was a member of Reedy Fork Baptist Church and the R.C. Eustace Sunday School class.  Ann was a graduate of Draughns Business College and Waldrop Cosmetology School.  She was the owner and operator of Ann’s Beauty Shop and also retired from Service Star, Inc.  Ann enjoyed cooking and canning fruits and jellies.  She was a caretaker by nature and a wonderful wife to Irving throughout their marriage.

Surviving are two sons, Jimmy Alverson, and Adam Alverson with fiancé Gina; a brother, Gerald Scott with fiancé Aggie; two sisters, Johnnye Woods with husband Billy, and Janet Freeman with husband Vernon; and two granddaughters, Wallace Vaughan with husband Tyler, and Alex Alverson.  She was predeceased by her daughter, Sharon Woods.

Graveside services will be 11 o’clock Friday at Greenville Memorial Gardens, officiated by Dr. Bob Whaley.
