I loved listening to Aunt Rachel’s story’s. Such a sweet soul. She raised chickens for a time and all but one hen hatched chicks. She felt so bad for the one little hen who didn’t have any baby chicks so she went and bought her some and put the chicks in the hens nest. That hen took right up with those little chicks. She had a big heart for animals and especially her pups. When I told her I loved her she would say I love you more and I would say no I love you more. She would say well I’ve loved you longer

I miss your smile. And the way you made everyone feel as though they were your best friend. You were kind, loving, diplomatic, and the best cook I’ve ever met! You taught me and Wes to lean on our faith, first, no matter the circumstances. Your love for the Lord helped grow our faith. Mama, we miss you. But, you worked all your life to be a good Christian and you earned those wings. Thank you for loving me as your own. ❤️ Susan
