John Earl Styles, 93, husband of the late Ellen Grace Howell Styles, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 15, 2016.
Mr. Styles was born in Greenville to the late Jasper Theron Styles and Mary Frances Messer Styles. He retired from Union Carbide and was a member of Roper Mountain Baptist Church. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army.
Surviving are a son, Joe Styles and wife Dee; two daughters, Joan Byars and husband Sherwin, and Jean McNeil and husband George; two brothers; six sisters; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Johnny Styles; and a granddaughter, Melissa Holden.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Fletcher Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Roper Mountain Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Ron Lewis. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in the church cemetery.
