Obituary of Delores Rhinehart Phillips

Delores Rhinehart Phillips, 64, widow of Rev. Fred Dwayne Phillips Jr., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 13, 2018.

Mrs. Phillips was born in Union to the late Troy Martin Rhinehart and Mildred Proach Rhinehart.  She served with her husband in their evangelical mission for many years, visiting churches throughout the southeastern United States.  Delores enjoyed reading, cross-word puzzles, and meeting other people.

Surviving are two daughters, Tracie Echols and husband Jeff, and April Richard; two brothers, Tuck Rhinehart and Charles Proach; three sisters, Rose Silver and husband Rick, Marie Crisp and Lena Heine; a special niece, Pamela Rhinehart; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by two sons, Charlie Brown Richard and Troy Richard; and a daughter, Britany Phillips.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Buffalo Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. George Turner.  Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
