Obituary of Alma Mae Whitmire Gault

Alma Mae Whitmire Gault, 90, widow of Charles Robert Gault, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 13, 2018.

Mrs. Gault was born in Greensboro, NC to the late J.T. Whitmire and Dena Dixon Whitmire Tugman.  She retired from Gault’s Cleaners and the Bantam Chef and was a member of Hickory Tavern Church of God.

Surviving are two sons and their wives, Bobby and Martha Gault, and Ed and Kathy Gault; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Gault; seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a son, J.R. Gault; a sister, Evelyn Harper; and a granddaughter, Tammy McIntosh.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Service.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Hickory Tavern Church of God, followed by entombment in the mausoleum at Cannon Memorial Park.
