Obituary of Novella Mae Hopkins

Novella Mae Tharp Hopkins, 92, widow of Ray Wilson Hopkins, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 26, 2018.

Mrs. Hopkins was born in Chattanooga, TN to the late Rev. Zeno Chandler Tharp Sr. and Anne Mae Caruthers Tharp.  She retired from Franklin Processing Company and was a charter member of Laurens Road Church of God. 

Surviving are two sons and their wives, Sam and Kathy Hopkins, and Eddy and Kathy Hopkins; a daughter, Becky Wilson and husband Rick; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a son, Mylon Ray Hopkins; a son-in-law, Russell Wall; a brother, Zeno Tharp Jr.; and three sisters, Mildred Jones-Raines, Jewel Blair, and Melda Marvel.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Greenville Memorial Gardens, officiated by Rev. Bobby Johnson. The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.  Memorials may be made to the Mauldin Church of God, 411 E.
