Jerry Wayne Pope, 76, husband of Deborah Bates Pope, went to be with the Lord, Monday October 3, 2016.
Mr. Pope was born in Kannapolis, NC to the late Herman Brice and Janie Helms Pope. He was a member of Bessie Road Baptist Church a retiree of Delta Global Services.
Surviving, in addition to his wife are a son, Jonathan Wood (Shannon); three daughters, Jennifer Pope, Kristy Tillotson (Kevin) and LaDonna Hobson (Doug); a sister, Cynthia Pope, twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Jo Twitty; a son Mike Pope; a brother, Jim Pope and his step father-in-law, Woody Teal.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Bessie Road Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Cannon Memorial Park.
