Obituary of Dinkin O'Neal Garner

Dinkin “Dink” O’Neal Garner, 80, husband of Judieth “Judie” Lorette Reynolds Garner for 57 years, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 11, 2019.

Mr. Garner was born in Camilla, Ga to the late Huey Garner and Bonnie Bell Garner.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.  He was a mechanic and formerly taught mechanics at Greenville Technical College and was a charter member of Brookwood Church in Simpsonville.  Dink was an all-around handyman and could fix anything and shared his knowledge and skills with anyone in need.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons and their wives, Neal and Sherrie Garner, and Scott and Karen Garner; a daughter, Lavenda Frick and husband Roger; four grandchildren, Garner Frick, Bonnie Frick, Bethany Garner and Luis Garner; and his loving dog “Otis”.  He was predeceased by four brothers and a sister.

A Celebration of Dink’s Life will be 2 pm Friday at Brookwood Church.   Burial, with Military Honors, will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
