Obituary of Don Edward Nelson

Don Edward Nelson, 77, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 4, 2019.

Don was born in Greenville, retired after 34 years from WR Grace. He loved to sing, ride motorcycles and dance. Don was a true joyful spirit, loved people and never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Surviving, is a son, Clayton Nelson and his wife Virginia; a daughter, Sheila Salaciak and her husband Jim; a step-daughter, Ronda Leonard and her husband Dennis; a sister, Rose Miller and her husband Jack; three grandchildren, Ashley Whitlock with her husband Brayden, Brittney Nielsen and husband Bjorn, and Austin Salaciak; two step-grandchildren, Taylor Massey and her husband Aaron and Logan Fenske. Don was predeceased by his mother, Myrtle Virginia Nelson.

Family will receive friends 5-8pm Friday at Fletcher Funeral Service.

Funeral services will be 11am Saturday at Hillside Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Sean Sellars. Burial will follow in the church
