Obituary of Bruce Rice Tucker

Bruce R Tucker, 85, husband of Betty L Tucker of Fountain Inn, entered into his eternal resting place with Jesus after an extended illness on Sunday, October 16, 2016. Bruce was born September 16, 1931 to the late Rice and Rena Tucker. Since retiring from Tucker Transmission, he enjoyed a quite life at home and had developed a love for his cats who loved him as much as he loved them. Bruce served at Fairview Street Baptist Church in various ministries for 50 years. Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Donnie Tucker (Stephanie), Danny Tucker (Lisa) and Susan Haymes (Perry); five grandchildren, Josh, Christopher, Heath, Justin and Brianna. He was predeceased by his grandson Lance Tucker. The family will receive friends at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church on Tuesday October 18, from 6-8 p.m. The celebration of his life will take place also at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Wednesday October 19 at 2 p.m. with burial immediately following at Cannon Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of Perry and Susan Haymes. The family would also like to thank the many folks who cared for Bruce at Greenville Memorial Hospital, NHC in Laurens, Laurens Memorial Hospital and McCall Hospice House. All of you made our dad and us feel special and as comfortable as possible. We could never thank you enough.
