Obituary of J W Davenport

J.W. Davenport, 88, widower of Kimmie Joycell Tollison, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 9, 2019.

Mr. Davenport was born in Greenville, South Carolina to the late Frank and Ella Greer Davenport. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in Korean War in Germany. He retired from H & W Electrical.  J.W. was an avid Dale Earnhardt and USC Gamecock fan.

Surviving are two daughters, Debra Davenport Setzer and husband Doug, of North Carolina, and Donna Davenport Tucker and husband George; three grandchildren, Allison Setzer Pryor and husband Eric, Amanda Setzer and Stephanie Tucker Smith; three great-grandchildren, Reagan Pryor, Madison Pryor and Tanner Smith.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Greenville Memorial Gardens, officiated by Rev. Allison Setzer Pryor.
