Obituary of Christian Eugene Thompson

Christian Eugene Thompson, 52, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 7, 2020. Mr. Thompson was born in Greenwood to Walter Eugene Thompson and Carolynda Hall Thompson. He founded and retired from Triangle Construction. He was a member of Brookwood Church where he served as a Celebrate Recovery Mentor and a leader in the Essentials Bible Study program. He was an alumnus of Presbyterian College and a graduate of Laurens District #55 High School. Christian was highly competitive, achieving a black-belt status in Tae-kwon-do and fighting in the UFC. Surviving are his mother, Carolynda Thompson; his father, Gene Thompson and his wife Wilma; a sister, Anna Fathman and husband Buddy; and nephew, Eli Fathman. Memorial services will be 2 o’clock Sunday at Brookwood Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
