William “Wilbur" McClellan Jones, Jr. III, 49, husband of 24 years to Marsha Pruitt Jones, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020.
Mr. Jones was born in Grundy, VA to Patricia Hall and the late McClellan Jones, Jr.
Wilbur loved his family and being called “Silly Rabbit” by his granddaughter, Payton. He enjoyed riding his Harley, fishing, hunting, and gardening. He was a hard-working man and just recently celebrated 30 years as a welder at Lawrence Fabrication.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Leanne Patrick and husband David; a son, Shawn Smith; a brother, Donald Jones; four sisters, Pamela Perry and husband James, Gail Weems and husband Jeff, Grace Murphy and husband Dale, and Missy Vass; and one grandchild, Payton Patrick.
The family will receive friends 10-11 am Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Service.
A celebration of his life will follow at 11am.
